A former telephone booth has been the site of artistic installation and intervention for over 15 years. Before the art cell has to temporarily make way for extensive renovation work on the building complex, the last exhibition becomes an occasion to address the presence and absence of the venue. While a textile print with the image of the cell is reminiscent of shrouding and the cell is fragmented in the folds, the smallest venue within the 12,000 sqm centre, the Kunstzelle, remains visible for miles above the rooftops of Vienna. - Until it returns.
